تثبیت یک مربی ایرانی در استرالیا؛ علیرضا امامی‌فر یک‌سال پس از مهاجرت، همچنان در قلب فوتبال ملبورن
علیرضا امامی‌فر، با پشتوانه‌ای از تجربه در پرسپولیس و تیم ملی، حالا در استرالیا نقش مربیگری را برعهده دارد و در عین حال با نقدهای صریح و نگاه تحلیلی خود، به صدایی متفاوت و تأثیرگذار در نقد فوتبال ایران تبدیل شده است؛ تجربه‌ای ممتد از تهران تا ملبورن.

اکنون یک سال از زمانی می‌گذرد که علیرضا امامی‌فر، بازیکن پیشین تیم ملی ایران و باشگاه پرسپولیس، مسیر زندگی و حرفه‌ای خود را تغییر داد و وارد فوتبال استرالیا شد. او که سال‌ها در جایگاه بازیکن، مربی و تحلیلگر در ساختار پرپیچ‌وخم فوتبال ایران حضور داشت، در سال ۲۰۲۴ به استرالیا مهاجرت کرد و به عنوان مربی به باشگاه مانینگام یونایتد در ملبورن پیوست.
این باشگاه که در لیگ NPL ویکتوریا (رده دوم فوتبال استرالیا) فعالیت دارد، حالا پس از گذشت یک فصل همچنان از حضور امامی‌فر در کادر فنی بهره می‌برد. منابع محلی تأیید کرده‌اند که همکاری او با این تیم ادامه دارد و در فصل جدید نیز بخشی از کادر مربیگری است.
امامی‌فر در زمان پیوستن به این تیم در بیانیه‌ای نوشت:
«از باشگاه مانینگام یونایتد واقعا سپاسگزارم که من را به عنوان عضوی از کادرفنی انتخاب کرد. مشتاق کمک به موفقیت باشگاه هستم. من زندگی را انتخاب کردم.»
اما حضور امامی‌فر فقط در خطوط تاکتیکی و برنامه‌ریزی فنی خلاصه نشد. او همزمان با فعالیت حرفه‌ای در استرالیا، به یکی از منتقدان صریح ساختار فوتبال ایران نیز تبدیل شده است. در یکی از یادداشت‌های اخیر خود در شبکه‌های اجتماعی، او به پدیده‌ای دیرینه در فوتبال ایران تاخت: «آقا بالاسرها».
او در بخشی از این نوشته آورده است:
«در فوتبال ایران، پدیده‌ای وجود دارد که خارج از سلسله‌مراتب قانونی فوتبال عمل می‌کند. افرادی که هیچ تخصصی ندارند اما در تصمیم‌گیری‌ها دخالت می‌کنند؛ همان‌هایی که به‌جای قانون و تجربه، با رابطه، بی‌سوادی، فحاشی و زورگویی، جایگاه‌های کلیدی را اشغال کرده‌اند. این فرهنگ لمپنی، یکی از بزرگ‌ترین آفات فوتبال ماست.»
علاوه بر نقش مربیگری، امامی‌فر در دسامبر ۲۰۲۴ یک ارائه استراتژیک برای فصل ۲۰۲۵ باشگاه مانینگام یونایتد منتشر کرد. در این ارائه، او بر اهمیت دفاع منسجم، فشردگی خطوط دفاعی، و توسعه تدریجی مفاهیم دفاعی از تیم‌های پایه تا تیم بزرگسالان تأکید کرد. این رویکرد ساختاری، از چشم رسانه‌های محلی و کادر مدیریتی باشگاه نیز پنهان نماند و به عنوان بخشی از «برنامه تحول فنی» تیم مورد استقبال قرار گرفت.
امامی‌فر که دارای مدرک دکترای مدیریت ورزشی و گواهینامه رسمی مربیگری کنفدراسیون فوتبال آسیا (AFC) است، در کارنامه خود سابقه بازی در تیم‌هایی چون پرسپولیس، فجر سپاسی، شارلوا بلژیک و تیم ملی ایران را دارد. همچنین در نقش مربی، در تیم ملی امید، پرسپولیس و چند تیم دیگر فعالیت کرده است.
باشگاه مانینگام یونایتد نیز در پایان فصل گذشته، از عملکرد او ابراز رضایت کرده و همکاری‌اش را تمدید نموده است. این باشگاه که در میان تیم‌های میانه‌جدول لیگ ویکتوریا جای دارد، امیدوار است در فصل آینده با تکیه بر تجربیات بین‌المللی کادر فنی، جایگاه بالاتری کسب کند.
امروز، علیرضا امامی‌فر نه‌تنها بخشی فعال از فوتبال حرفه‌ای استرالیاست، بلکه به‌عنوان صدایی منتقد و صریح در حوزه ورزش ایران شناخته می‌شود — صدایی که از تهران تا ملبورن، همچنان شنیده می‌شود.

Establishing an Iranian Coach in Australia: Alireza Emamifar, One Year After Migration, Remains at the Heart of Melbourne Football

Alireza Emamifar, with a legacy built on years of experience at Persepolis and the Iranian national team, has now made his mark in Australia. A year after his migration, he not only holds a coaching role in Melbourne’s Manningham United but has also emerged as a bold, analytical voice critiquing Iranian football — bridging a career that stretches from Tehran to Melbourne.
It has now been a full year since Emamifar — a former player for Team Melli and Persepolis FC — made a pivotal shift in his career and life path by joining the Australian football scene. After years as a player, coach, and analyst navigating the complex world of Iranian football, he migrated to Australia in 2024 and joined Manningham United as part of their coaching staff.
The club competes in Victoria’s NPL (National Premier Leagues), the second tier of Australian football. A season later, local sources have confirmed that Emamifar remains with the team and continues to be part of the coaching unit for the 2025 season.
Upon joining the club, Emamifar shared a message of gratitude:
"I am truly thankful to Manningham United for selecting me as a member of the coaching team. I’m excited to help the club succeed. I chose life."
But his impact hasn’t been limited to tactical planning and on-field roles. Emamifar has also become an outspoken critic of Iranian football’s structural flaws. In one of his recent social media posts, he criticized what he described as the deep-rooted phenomenon of unofficial power figures — or "Agha Bala Sars" — interfering in football affairs.
“In Iranian football, there are individuals who operate outside the official hierarchy — unqualified figures who meddle in decisions. Instead of relying on law and expertise, they occupy key positions through connections, ignorance, verbal abuse, and force. This thuggish culture is one of the biggest plagues of our football,” he wrote.
In December 2024, alongside his coaching duties, Emamifar presented a strategic plan for the 2025 season at Manningham United. His approach emphasized structured defense, compact formations, and the gradual development of defensive principles from youth squads to the senior team. This proposal, seen as part of a broader “technical transformation program,” was well received by club management and local sports media.
Holding a PhD in Sports Management and an official coaching license from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Emamifar’s résumé includes playing stints at Persepolis, Fajr Sepasi, Charleroi (Belgium), and the Iranian national team. He has also served as coach for Iran’s Olympic team, Persepolis, and several other clubs.
At the end of the 2024 season, Manningham United expressed satisfaction with his performance and renewed his contract. Positioned as a mid-table team in the NPL Victoria, the club now hopes to climb higher in the standings by leveraging the international experience of its coaching staff.
Today, Alireza Emamifar is not only a key figure in Australia’s professional football community but also a sharp, critical voice reflecting on the state of Iranian sports — a voice that continues to resonate from Tehran to Melbourne.
